Purchased new in November 2015 for less than $25k. It’s been a decent car but has had a few issues. Air conditioning compressor went out a couple years ago. Went to Subaru dealer after hearing about a good faith repair offer. They inspected the vehicle and came back with a 7,000.00 repair estimate. Rear brakes, CV joint boots torn, Engine re-seal plus 1100 dollar “discount” price for the air conditioner. Thanks but no thanks. What a ripoff! I ended up replacing the rear brakes myself (simple). The engine reseal is completely unnecessary, not one drop of oil has emerged from the area they were concerned about. The oil level remains constant between oil changes and the area of concern is barely visible. The air conditioning pump was replaced at a local shop for a few hundred dollars less than the dealership discount price. The cv boot issue was also fixed at a local shop for far less money and they replaced the entire control arm assembly. The CVT transmission can be an issue but we have replaced the fluid at 40k mile intervals and so far so good. Spark plug replacement was a challenge. Not the greatest for extended trips, seats not comfortable after about 6 hours. A little noisy Positives- with proper tires, the car handles really well in snow. Very good fuel economy Pretty roomy for a small car Paint is holding up well 11 years later and it’s still a pretty decent looking car

Outstanding vehicle. 10 years old, no problems. 30,000 miles . Traded it in July 2025 for an upgraded Subaru Crosstek Limited! Great trade in value allowing us to step up to the top of the line model.

I recently purchased a USED 2015 CROSSTREK and am impressed with the handling , acceleration and comfort. Mine came all the extras with the exception of moon-roof but I really did not need it. The interior is very comfortable and there is plenty of room for 4 adults. Cargo area is a bit limited but it does work for me. The 2015 CROSSTREK looks alot more expensive that it actually is and I love the all wheel drive feature.
