Best value and snow performance for your money - they never die! Not the most stylish or fancy by far, but this is the bomb when it comes to practicality and value for money. Extremely reliable and affordable - what more could you want?
    • Good car but..

Overall the Subaru Impreza has been a good car for me. Always starts and runs well with no major troubles but one. The only serious trouble is the infamous Subaru head gasket oil leak. Started leaking at about 80000 miles. It also unfortunately drips onto the exhaust system. This trouble has been one of Subarus long standing problems and I'm surprised they haven't been able to fix this by now.

I bought this car brand new and it's been a huge disappointment. I thought my next car was going to be the Outback as I've wanted one for at least 8 years. However, now I will not buy another Subaru. At around 90,000 miles I had to replace the rack and pinion which I was told was incredibly unusual at that mileage. Little did I know that was the beginning of the end. Within two years I've invested over $5000 and now the control arms and drivers side axle need to be replaced. My car is worth maybe $2000. It's all advertising.
